Bricklayer

Carry out bricklaying, blockwork and masonry works across construction projects in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
About the Role
As a Bricklayer at AVVSJ, you will carry out bricklaying, blockwork and masonry activities across construction projects. You will construct, repair and maintain masonry structures in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications and Company quality standards while maintaining safe and efficient working practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Constructing walls, partitions, foundations and other masonry structures using bricks, blocks and similar materials.
- Measuring, setting out and aligning brickwork in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Preparing mortar and cutting, shaping and laying masonry units to required dimensions.
- Repairing, rebuilding and maintaining existing masonry structures where required.
- Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Ensuring workmanship meets project quality standards and specifications.
- Maintaining tools and equipment safely and complying with health, safety and environmental requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in bricklaying, blockwork or masonry construction.
- Good knowledge of bricklaying and masonry construction techniques.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Practical skills in measuring, setting out and laying masonry units.
- Knowledge of construction materials and safe working practices.
- Ability to work accurately, efficiently and as part of a team.
- A vocational qualification or apprenticeship in Bricklaying or Masonry is desirable.
- A CSCS Card or equivalent construction site certification is desirable.
- Experience on commercial, industrial or residential construction projects is desirable.
