About the Role

As a Carpenter at AVVSJ, you will carry out carpentry and joinery activities across construction projects, working in accordance with project drawings, specifications and site requirements.

You will work with site teams to complete assigned works accurately and safely while maintaining the required standards of workmanship and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out general carpentry and joinery works on construction sites.
  • Reading and following drawings, measurements and work instructions.
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber and related materials.
  • Installing doors, frames, partitions, fixtures and other components.
  • Checking completed work for accuracy, alignment and quality.
  • Using hand and power tools safely and appropriately.
  • Reporting material requirements and site issues to supervisors.
  • Maintaining a safe, organised and tidy working area.
  • Following site health, safety and quality procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous practical experience in carpentry or joinery work.
  • Ability to read drawings, measurements and work instructions.
  • Competence in using carpentry hand and power tools.
  • Good understanding of construction-site working practices.
  • Ability to produce accurate work to required standards.
  • Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
  • Understanding of site health and safety requirements.
