Quality Control & Planning Engineer

Support construction projects through quality control, planning, progress monitoring and coordination of resources and technical requirements.
About the Role
As a Quality Control & Planning Engineer at AVVSJ, you will support the effective planning, monitoring and quality control of construction activities to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within project requirements and to the required quality and safety standards.
The role combines construction planning with practical quality control, including programme preparation and monitoring, resource planning, review of technical requirements and verification that site activities are carried out in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and maintaining detailed construction programmes, schedules and work plans.
- Monitoring daily and weekly site progress against planned activities and project schedules.
- Reviewing and revising programmes in response to actual site progress and changing project requirements.
- Reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications and other relevant project information.
- Monitoring construction activities to help ensure works are carried out in accordance with engineering drawings, technical specifications and applicable standards.
- Estimating requirements for materials, equipment and manpower in line with planned construction activities.
- Forecasting potential resource constraints and identifying programme or operational bottlenecks.
- Carrying out and supporting quality control checks on construction activities and completed works.
- Identifying quality, planning and compliance issues and coordinating them with relevant site and project personnel.
- Maintaining appropriate planning, progress-monitoring and quality-control records.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant engineering qualification suitable for the position.
- Experience in construction planning, quality control or related engineering activities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Understanding of construction programmes, scheduling and progress monitoring.
- Ability to assess material, equipment and manpower requirements.
- Understanding of construction quality, safety and compliance requirements.
- Ability to identify programme, resource and quality-related risks.
- Good analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with site and project teams.
