Roofer

Carry out roofing installation, repair and maintenance works across construction projects in accordance with specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
About the Role
As a Roofer at AVVSJ, you will carry out roofing installation, repair and maintenance activities across construction projects. You will install and maintain roof structures, coverings and associated components in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications and Company quality standards while maintaining safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing roof coverings using appropriate roofing materials.
- Repairing and maintaining existing roofs and roof structures.
- Measuring, preparing and fitting roofing materials accurately.
- Installing roof insulation, flashings, waterproof membranes and associated components.
- Identifying and reporting defects or damage to roof structures.
- Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Ensuring roofing works meet quality standards while complying with health, safety and environmental requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in roofing installation, repair or maintenance.
- Good knowledge of roofing systems and installation methods.
- Practical skills in roof installation, repair and maintenance.
- Understanding of waterproofing techniques and roofing materials.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and work instructions.
- Knowledge of safe working practices, including working at height.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- A vocational qualification or apprenticeship in Roofing is desirable.
- A CSCS Card or equivalent construction site certification is desirable.
- Experience on commercial, industrial or residential construction projects is desirable.
